A replacement is not a box swap. The line set, the pad, the disconnect and the drain all get looked at while the unit is off, because that is the only time anyone can see them properly.

The number on the data plate. Everything about the airflow, the capacity and the run time assumes the duct system stays under it.

Undersized returns, crushed flex, a loaded filter
The blower works harder for less air. Rooms furthest from the air handler stop keeping up, and the system runs longer to do the same job.

The point where equipment pays for it
Coils run colder than they should, the compressor sees conditions it was not sized for, and parts wear out early. This is why duct work sometimes matters more than tonnage.
Measuring the duct system before quoting a bigger unit is the difference between fixing the problem and selling around it.

Service rep Pablo and his co-worker did a great job. He kept me informed on what he was doing. Answered all my questions and a few that I didn't even ask. Overall excellent performance.
Our AC finally died this summer after many attempts to keep it running. I can't say enough positive words to compliment J Tech's office and service men. They were always polite and professional even while trying to deal with our home owner's warranty. I highly recommend Jech if you have any ac repairs required. Brittany was in the office and Louis was the repairman.
We were assigned to J-Tech through our home warranty company for an HVAC tune-up. The technician did a great job! He was on time and professional and price was exactly as expected. Would hire again once our home warranty ends!
